Current Characters:
Character: Susato Mikotoba
Canon: The Great Ace Attorney 2, after Case 1
Age: 16
Background Information: Here, with summaries of all the cases linked in each section.
Personality:
Abilities & Inventory: Susato is a normal girl without any supernatural abilities. Her abilities mainly relate to her skills in martial arts and her intelligence. Inventory wise, the only thing that she carries around are various books up her sleeve. Besides that, she has nothing.
For dreamotion abilities in the future, Susato would develop more passive abilities instead of more active ones since she isn't a particularly violent girl. The ability to read people's true emotions is something that comes to mind. Especially since the truth is something that Susato values as a judicial assistant. It would help out in situations where taking the peaceful route or negotiations is a possible option.
Suitability & Plans: Susato is from a world where she doesn't fit in no matter what she does. She is not allowed in the courtrooms because she is a woman in Japan, she is disrespected in Britain because she is from Japan. There is no real freedom for her. But in Songerin, Susato would be able to have more freedom to be herself. CR with other characters would be most important for Susato since the only ones who seem to be from her specific time period are her own friends. Being able to learn about what is happening in modern times and connecting with people who are able to do what they wish regardless of rules would severely help with her development. Once she is able to open up more, Susato would be more willing to help others on things like quests. She may even be able to develop her dreamotion abilities further beyond what I have planned for her.
As for fitting in, Susato is able to adapt to just about any environment she is in. Mostly because she has already done her research on it but she can learn more about Songerin through her own experiences. At the end of the first game, Susato returns to Japan which leaves the cast she has grown close to behind in Britain. Despite that, she is able to interact with others and keep a brave face about it. She even has no qualms with making friends, even when she first arrived at Britain after the death of Asogi.

Personality:
Intelligent: For a girl her age, Susato is very smart. She's especially smart when it comes to the field of law. Despite only being an assistant, Susato has always managed to help out Naruhodo whenever he is struggling with things relating to the law. This really shows when they officially go to Britain. Susato not only has deep knowledge of Japanese law due to the occupation of her adoptive brother, but she also has knowledge of British Law as well which is implied to be motivated by her love of the Herlock Sholmes series. It's a common thing for Susato to carry books up her sleeves so she can always read out any information that may be needed depending on the current predicament.
Cautious: While Susato is a kind person, she is usually not one to let her personal feelings beat out the obvious logic of a situation. When Naruhodo was the main suspect for killing Asogi, Susato did not treat him all too kindly. While Susato did care about him, she was also unable to see any other person who could have done it. Therefore, she did not allow herself to begin trusting Naruhodo until he was able to prove that he was innocent.
Polite: With the game taking place during the Meiji era, Susato acts just how she is expected to act as a woman from that time period. She respects those who are older than her and obeys the laws that are in place, even if they do not benefit her at all. She refers to just about everyone with the -sama or -san honorific. In the earlier chapters of the game, Susato's polite attitude often makes her come off as more stiff and demure. But as the game goes on, she begins opening up and becoming more relaxed around Naruhodo. She's an avid fan of Herlock Sholmes and gets excited even over the simplest things. One thing she particularly enjoys is crossing her eyes to look through stereoscopes, something that Iris Wilson taught her to do.
Determined: Susato is a very determined girl, willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that her friends are protected. She is even willing to break the law for the sake of those she cares about. One of the main examples of this was when she dressed as a male to defend her friend, Rei Membami. Despite this not being allowed, Susato was ready to do it because no one else would take her dearest friend's case. Another time that Susato broke the law for a friend was when she tampered with a crime scene during the last case of the first game to trick the real culprit. Susato confessed to this at the end of the game, almost throwing a British law book into the ocean despite her love for the law itself.
Naive: While Susato is book smart, she is still a young woman who has her naive moments. When on the ship with Naruhodo and Sholmes, Susato actually began to believe Sholmes's ridiculous deduction due to her respect for him. But in more serious matters, Susato's naive nature mainly comes from her love for the law. Before the events of the game, she was not aware that the laws could be used to oppress others until she arrived in Britain. And even recently, she realized that not all news reported in the newspapers was true. While she is not as naive on these subjects as she was in the past, Susato still has a lot to learn before she can shake off her naive nature.
